Our Methods
Here at Hoodies Express we employ 2 main methods when personalising your products. We’ll go into a bit more detail for each below, however, if you’re interested in a specific method not covered below then please get in touch as we may still be able to help.
Dye Sublimation
What is it?
This is a full colour printing method that uses heat transfer to apply an image to the intended substrate.
Where can it be used?
This method is commonly used for decorating apparel, signs and banners as well as any other items with sublimation-friendly surfaces.
Vinyl
What is it?
Vinyl cutting is exactly that, the process of cutting your designs onto sheets of vinyl. These designs are then applied onto various surfaces.
Where can it be used?
Apparel, signs, banners, and advertisements. You can use this method to decorate almost all surfaces.
DTF
What is it?
Direct to Film, known as DTF, is exactly as the name suggests. Designs are printed onto a film using a specialist printer.
Where can it be used?
DTF printing offers flexibility by imprinting designs on textiles like cotton, polyester, and blends, as well as non-textile materials such as wood, metal, plastic, ceramics, and more.
For more information on what is possible with each of the methods above please read through our Artwork Guidelines, you may also find our Application Guidelines useful.
